With the City of Laurel General Election less than a month away, the Laurel Board of Trade has announced they will hold a Candidate Forum on October 18, 2017, starting at 7:00pm in the chambers of the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road.

The candidates running for the November 7th City of Laurel General Election are as follows:

Ward 1 – Carl DeWalt, Valerie M.A. Nicholas, H. Edward Ricks

Ward 2 – Thomas Matthews, Adrian Rousseau, Frederick Smalls, Keith R. Sydnor

At Large – Michael R. Leszcz, Jeffrey W. Mills

The objective is to give residents a chance to hear the candidates speak on their positions and ask questions of those running in their Ward, as well as the At Large position.

The forum will consist of introductions, a question and answer session and closing statements. Audience members can submit their questions on index cards prior to the start or you may also submit your questions to [email protected].

If you are unable to make it to the Laurel Municipal Center on the day of the forum, Laurel TV will broadcast it live on their channel at Comcast 996 or 71; Verizon 12; or live stream it on their website at LaurelTV.org.

This is your chance to meet the candidates and hear them speak, so you can make your decision before the November 7th General City Election.

If you would like more information, call the Laurel Board of Trade at 301-483-0838.
