Laurel Chief Of Staff Appointed To MML Committee


Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that Maryland Municipal League President Jake Romanell has appointed Ms. Lou Ann Crook, Chief of Staff to the 2017-2018 Maryland Municipal League Legislative Committee.  This important committee, chaired by Gaithersburg Councilmember Ryan Spiegel, has the responsibility of working with the Maryland Municipal League staff to analyze legislation for its impact on municipalities and advocate on behalf of Maryland's 157 cities and towns.

Ms. Crook has represented the Mayor and City Council on the MML Legislative Committee for 12 years.  Ms. Crook stated, “Serving on this Committee brings me closer to the work of the Maryland General Assembly each year and helps me with my responsibility of monitoring the impacts of State legislation on the City of Laurel.”


Mayor Moe said, “I am happy to see City Staff’s continuing involvement on the Maryland Municipal League’s committees.  Ms. Crook has been an excellent liaison for the City, and has represented my office very well in her many years of service to the MML Legislative Committee.”
