PUBLIC NOTICE

 

CHARTER RESOLUTION NO. 171

 

FIRST 2017 ANNEXATION

 

 

This is to give notice that the above resolution amending the City of Laurel Charter was adopted by the Mayor and City Council on the 24th day of July, 2017, and that the amendment to the Charter of the City of Laurel as herein adopted, shall be and become effective on the 12thday of September, 2017, unless on or before the 5th day of September, 2017, a Petition for Referendum on this Charter Resolution, meeting the requirements of §4-304 of the Md. Local Government Code Ann. is filed in writing, with the Mayor or City Administrator by 5:00 p.m. on the 5thday of September, 2017.

 

City Charter, Article 200 “Corporate Boundaries” be and is hereby amended to add Section 251 to be titled "First 2017 Annexation”, which will add that land into the City, property owned by Strittmatter Contee, LLC, known as 7041 and 7051 Contee Road, Laurel, Maryland consisting of 32.68 +/- acres, which is more particularly described in legal descriptions and plats of the properties.
