Bid Recommendation- Flood Warning System- Office of Emergency Management. Chrissy Cornwell, Emergency Manager, gave a PowerPoint presentation on the Patuxent River Flood Warning System Capabilities and Functionality Demonstration. The Office of Emergency Management is requesting approval to transition into the installation and application development phase of the flood warning system. Rostan Solutions, Inc. has provided the city with a grant and project management on the project; therefore, OEM is seeking additional time to provide the update and approval of the task order. OEM has been coordinating with KCI Technologies to collect data on city needs and mapping. Due to COVID- 19 the project stalled. OEM is at a point o move onto the installation and application development phase of the flood warning system. The city has contracted with KCI and is seeking approval to continue the project with the purchase and installation of the gages and application development. Funding is included in the Capital Improvement Program at $ 181, 351. 50. A portion programed in the CIP is a grant for $ 112, 000. 00 from the Maryland Department of Environment' s Comprehensive Flood Management Grant Program. It was recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the task order outlined in the memorandum dated May 13, 2022, from City Administrator Christian Pulley. Council agreed to award this task order at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Bid Recommendation- Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement- Department of Information Technology. Kevin frost, Director of Information Technology presented lease agreement in a memorandum dated May 6, 2022. Council agreed to approve the lease agreement at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, June 6, 2022. Bid Recommendation- Civic Plus Web Design- Department of Information Technology. Kevin Frost, Director of Information Technology, presented the contract to re- design the City' s website in a memorandum dated May 20, 2022. Council agreed to award the contract at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Resolution No. 4- 22, a resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland for the purpose of designating the City of Laurel, Maryland as a Bee City USA affiliate and providing an effective date. Michele Blair, Stainability Coordinator, presented Resolution No. 4- 22. Council agreed to introduce and hold the first public hearing on this resolution at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, June 6, 2022.
