Michele Blaire, Environmental Program Manager, updated the Mayor and City Council on the projects and initiatives that are currently underway or completed as they relate to the City's Environmental Program and long-term sustainability plan. The report is attached to the minutes.
Michele Saylor, Director of Budget and Personnel Services; Christina Cornwell, Emergency Manager and Hailey Cifizzari, Emergency Management Specialist gave a briefing on the American Rescue Plan Act.
Michele Saylor, Director of Budget and Personnel Services, presented Ordinance No. 1994, an ordinance to amend the General Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, and to provide an effective date. The amendment includes three State of Maryland Grants for the Department of Economic and Community Development for a total of $90, 000.
Robert Love, Director of Economic and Community Development presented the recommendation for the Farmer' s Market Lot Improvements- 378 Main Street, as outlined in a memorandum dated January 28, 2022. Council agreed to award this bid recommendation at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, February 14, 2022.
Robert Love, Director of Economic and Community Development, presented Ordinance No. 1993 - Neo-Traditional Overlay Concept Plan No. 924 - Janoske Property- 7222 and 7302 Contee Road, submitted by Ribera Development. The applicant has requested approval of a conceptual plan to develop a 63- unit townhouse community on 7. 45 acres on the property. After review and discussion, the council agreed to introduce the legislation and hold the first public hearing at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, February 14, 2022.
Brian Lee, Director of Public Works, presented the Fleet Acquisition — 2021 Ford F- 550 XL, Stake Body Truck, as outlined in a memorandum dated February 2, 2022. After review and discussion, the council agreed to award the purchase at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, February 14, 2022.
There being no further business to come before the Mayor and City Council the meeting was adjourned at 6: 59 p. m.
