A. Members of the public are asked to sign the speakers list at the back of the Council Chambers. Council President calls the speakers from the sign in sheet. Each speaker is asked to give their name and address for the record. Each speaker is allowed three minutes to speak.

A. Second public hearing with possible action on Ordinance No. 1952, an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland repealing and reenacting with amendments Chapter 18, "Building and Building Regulations," of the Laurel City Code, Article I through XIII to adopt the 2018 editions of the International Building Code (IBC) to include Appendix G, State of Maryland Fire Prevention Code, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code, the International Residential Code (IRC), the International Mechanical Code (IMC), the International Existing Building Code (IEBC), the Maryland Accessibility Code (MAC), the International Energy Conservation Code, the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code, the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) and the 2017 Edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC); renumbering sections and providing an effective date.

B. Second public hearing with possible action on Resolution No. 4-2020, a resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland Re-affirming the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

On motion by Councilmember , seconded by Councilmember , ORDINANCE NO. 1952, AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF LAUREL, MARYLAND REPEALING AND REENACTING WITH AMENDMENTS CHAPTER 18, "BUILDING AND BUILDING REGULATIONS," OF THE LAUREL CITY CODE, ARTICLE I THROUGH XIII TO ADOPT THE 2018 EDITIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (IBC) TO INCLUDE APPENDIX G, STATE OF MARYLAND FIRE PREVENTION CODE, THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (NFPA) CODE, THE INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE (IRC), THE INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE (IMC), THE INTERNATIONAL EXISTING BUILDING CODE (IEBC), THE MARYLAND ACCESSIBILITY CODE (MAC), THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE, THE INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING POOL AND SPA CODE, THE INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE (IPMC) AND THE 2017 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (NEC); RENUMBERING SECTIONS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, was adopted on a unanimous roll call vote.  Mayor Moe concurred with this action.

 B. On motion by Councilmember , seconded by Councilmember , RESOLUTION NO. 4-2020, A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF LAUREL, MARYLAND RE-AFFIRMING THE NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (NIMS), was adopted on a unanimous roll call vote.  Mayor Moe concurred with this action.

6. Adjournment

There being no further business to come before the Mayor and City Council the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
