A. William Goddard, City Administrator presented Resolution No. 3-2020, a resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland for the purpose of approving an agreement between the City of Laurel and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #11.  Councilmembers were in agreement to introduce Resolution No. 3-20 and hold the first public hearing at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

B. Melanie Weringer, Deputy Fire Marshal presented Ordinance No. 1952, an ordinance of the Mayor And City Council of Laurel, Maryland, Repealing and Reenacting With Amendments Chapter 18, “Building and Building Regulations,” of the Laurel City Code, Article I thru XIII to Adopt the 2018 Editions of The International Building Code (IBC) to Include Appendix G, State of Maryland Fire Prevention Code, The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code, The International Residential Code (IRC), The International Mechanical Code (IMC), The International Existing Building Code (IEBC), The Maryland Accessibility Code (MAC), The International Energy Conservation Code, The International Swimming Pool And Spa Code, The International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC), And The 2017 Edition of The National Electrical Code (NEC); Renumbering Sections And Providing An Effective Date.  Councilmembers were in agreement to introduce Ordinance No 1952 and hold the first public hearing at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, February 10, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.

Steve Allen, Emergency Services Manager presented Resolution 4-2020, a resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland Re-affirming the National Incident Management System (NIMS). Councilmembers were in agreement to introduce Resolution No. 4-2020 and hold first public hearing at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, February 10, 2020, 7:00 p.m.

There being no further business to come before the Mayor and City Council the meeting adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
