History: The Laurel Civic Improvement Committee established by Executive Order 2014-04 to provide for the promotion of beautification and enhancement of properties in the City of Laurel, and to recommend civic programs and events for citizen engagement.

Authority: The committee is charged with making recommendations and providing other needed advisory services to the Director of Parks and on matters related to the appearance of the community and community events for all age groups.
