Beautification of our neighborhoods in the City. To recognize those that reside in neighborhoods that keeps their properties up to code and beautifies their property.
The Mayor’s Golden Shovel Award allows residents to show their pride in were they reside. Nominations may be made by contacting the Mayor’s office either by phone, email or letter. The following information should be provided if possible; Location of property, owner, phone number of owner, what type of improvements were done. The person who makes the nomination must provide their name and phone number. Members of the City Council and City staff may make nominations as well. This award is only open to residential properties in the City.
