Bernadette’s House is asking the tough questions: Are the children in Laurel at risk? Is your child’s school safe? Are you protecting your children from digital dangers?
These and many more questions are what will be answered at the 3rd Annual Keeping Our Youth Safe Conference on November 10, 2018, from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Laurel Police Department’s Partnership Activity Center.
The keynote speaker will be Delegate Joseline Peña-Melnyk, with moderator Dr. Paula Cage, who is originally from Pensacola, Florida and has over 14 years of experience working in education.
Dr. Marone Brown - completed his Doctorate Degree at Drexel University in Educational Psychology in the Fall of 2016 and holds Masters Degrees in Criminology and Counseling Psychology.
Dr. Michele Washington is the Deputy Director, Data and Records Management Division, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, United States Department of
Agriculture and teaches several courses within the information technology curriculum.
Beth Halley is the Community Impact Liaison for The Samaritan Women, a national charity providing restorative residential care for survivors of domestic human trafficking.
Dr. Charla Lewis is a licensed psychologist, a nationally certified school psychologist, and creative arts-infused play therapist in Maryland and Washington DC.
