Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced that City and Passport Offices will be closed for Columbus Day on Monday, October 8, 2018.

Due to the holiday, the trash and recycling schedule will shift for the week. Monday’s refuse and recyclables will be collected on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, Tuesday’s refuse and recyclables will be collected on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. There will be no change to Wednesday’s, Thursday’s and Friday’s refuse or recycling collection. 

There will also be no Residential Special Pickup or Yard Debris collection that week. Public Works next scheduled Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup by e-mailing [email protected], using the MyLaurel App or calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088.

Be aware that due to the Columbus Day holiday, the Mayor and City Council have moved that Monday meeting to Wednesday, October 9, 2018, at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers of the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road. Agenda items may be found on the City’s web site at CityofLaurel.org.
