Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel City Council invite the public and media to the unveiling of the City’s two new “Citizens Helping Citizens” programs, “Stop the Bleed” and “Hands Only CPR,” on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, starting around 11:00am at the

City of Laurel Memorial Garden

8103 Sandy Spring Rd.

Laurel, MD 20707.

The media and public are invited to share in this occasion as the City unveils its plans to empower the public in saving lives by teaching them CPR and the different techniques to control bleeding in the event of an emergency.

It’s in those first moments of a natural or man-made disaster, or even an everyday emergency, that victims need immediate actions, before the arrival of first responders, that could make the difference between life or death. Imagine how many lives could be saved if we train YOU in “Hands Only CPR” and how to “Stop the Bleed!”

The media is asked to please be set up by 10:30am and RSVP to [email protected].

Since it is also the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, which has become a day of unity, empathy and service as an enduring and positive tribute to those lost and injured on September 11, 2001, take the time to remember those lost and volunteer your time to help others!
